Most cuemakers produced mailers, or catalogs, that represented their work at that time. We have put together some of these mailers for identification purposes, and just for the fun of it. These are a result of over 25 years of being in the billiard industry. We invite any cuemaker, or person, that has mailers from custom cuemakers, to send them to us and we will post them accordingly.
Richard Black has been making custom cues for over 30 years. He has influenced many of todays cuemakers and he continues to push the design envelope. Here are a few of his mailers from his early days. A Hoppe cue with an extra shaft for $188.00, hey Richard, send me two, and I'll pay the shipping!!!!!!
Another long time and influencial cuemaker is Bill Stroud of Joss West cues. Bill started out with Dan Janes of Joss and moved west and continued a standard of excellence in cuemaking. Here is a brochure from the late 70's, early 80's. Note the addition of a Fellini case.
Frank Paradise yellow pages ad, circa 1967. Warp and scratch resistant shafts!!!!

Joel Hercek's early brochure.. notice all the pin in shaft cues
Palmer Custom Cues.. everyone's favorite custom/line of cues. Here is one of the first mailers from 1966. It predates the "first" known catalog listed below. Check out some of these prices. Courtesy of www.rubinocues.com
Palmer's other "first" mailer.
Palmer's recognized second catalog. This catalog of cues turned out some of the most fantastic and beloved designs by cue collectors. Cues to note arte the "C" Rambow, and the "K". The K probably should have been called the Paradise, as the heavy influence of Frank Paradise is seen in the design of the cue. Also the "J" and the "M", staples in any Palmer collection.
The catalog that bought us the "Model 20 Ultra Supreme". Another fine offering, the era is ending.
Pete Margo.. the Bullet series
Ray Martin.. the "Cool Cat".. HTF Catalog, good reference
Where did all the cool marblized colored plastics come from???? Courtesy of www.rubinocues.com
Karl Mayer - From the NJ area, worked with Paradise, Palmer, Ferdunka.. many of his cues have been mislabled Palmers
Dixie cues out of Florida
Joss West 80's.. 3 page fold over showing some interesting work
Timmy Scruggs 1980.. who is on the lathe behind Timmy in the top right photo?
McDermott D line brochure... (I wonder if Mike still has that tux????)
The King... Interesting note.. the letter that came with the catalog states that there are 2 lines of Rempe cues, this line being his own custom design line. I believe this to be the difference of the standing Rempe vs the shooting Rempe characture.
